Eaten fresh and raw, or used in cooking to make delicious desserts, this juicy apple has well balanced sweetness and acidity and lovely white flesh which has a hint of strawberry to its flavour. Producing large red dessert apples, 'Summerrd' is an early season apple, so you can begin to pick the fabulous fruit as early as mid-august!. By experty grafting to the M9 rootstock 20-30cm above soil level, we've been able to further restrict the already dwarfing habit to produce a wonderful yet productive patio tree.
