Brut Impérial is Moët et Chandon's benchmark Champagne, created from more than 100 different wines, of which 20% to 30% are reserve wines (held back from older vintages) specially selected to enhance their mature character, complexity and consistency. Chef de Cave (head winemaker) Benoît Gouez is a master of the art of blending and year on year ensures Brut Impérial is a standard bearer for the distinctive Moët et Chandon character. The wine is a blend of the classic Champagne grapes Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay.
