Bushy. An outstanding early British-bred Butternut squash. In T&M's trials Squash Harrier F1 was the quickest to ripen, and was ready to harvest approximately 95 days from sowing. The bushy plants of Squash Harrier have an open habit allowing the sun to ripen fruits naturally on the plant giving added sweetness. Pear shaped fruits weigh 800g (1 3/4lb). 4 to 5 fruits per plant, with excellent long storage at 10C.
From seed! Each seed of Shallot Prisma produces a single attractive shiny reddish-brown skinned, white fleshed round shallot bulb, with a distinct flavour. No risk of transferring virus of white rot as with sets and the bulbs of Shallot Prisma store well.
High quality, round, bright red fleshed roots which do not go woody. Beetroot Wodan has wonderful flavour when freshly cooked, either as 'babybeet or as larger roots. Ideal for pickling. The young leaves can be used as an alternative to spinach. Seeds are in the RHS Vegetable Collection
With a unique climbing habit Courgette 'Black Forest' makes a great space saving variety for growing in containers on the patio. The long stems will need tying onto a trellis or netting to gently train them upwards. Courgette Black Forest will produce heavy yields of dark green, smooth, cylindrical 15cm (6) courgettes if picked regularly throughout the summer. Height: 120cm (48). A main crop variety with round to oval, high quality roots with a dark red colour. The hybrid vigour of Beetroot Red Ace makes it a very strong grower which will do well in most sites and soils; good in dry seasons. Excellent for exhibition. Andrew Tokely says: I find Beetroot Red Ace quick to germinate and it produces good size roots for use in the kitchen or for exhibiting at the local shows and has won many prizes for me. The compact, bushy plants of Courgette 'Midnight' are virtually spine free, making easier harvesting of the delicious dark green, slightly-speckled courgettes. This compact variety is ideal for growing in containers on the patio. Height: 45cm (18). Spread: 90cm (36).
A remarkable new F1 hybrid marrow of the Striped Green Bush type but which is earlier, better cropping and more uniform. Marrow Tiger Cross also carries resistance to cucumber mosaic virus which can be a real crop spoiler. The attractive fruits can either be cut at 10-15cm (4-6in) as courgettes or left to mature as marrows. Marrow Tiger Cross is excellent eaten lightly cooked, freshly picked or is suitable for winter storage.
A compact, bushy, early ripening variety, Chili Pepper Cheyenne grows to a height of 45cm (18in). Ideal grown in growbags or containers, making an attractive feature on the patio. Chili Pepper Cheyenne produces masses of medium sized green, turning orange fruits throughout the summer

Trailing. Butternut Squash is increasing in popularity because of its wide range of uses. The early ripening, short, orange fleshed fruits of Squash Avalon have a delicious butter-sweet flavour and are especially good when used for baking. Squash Avalon is excellent long term storage.
Throughout the summer this compact Aubergine produces an abundance of golf ball sized, baby aubergines. The bite sized fruits of Aubergine 'Opheliahave no bitter aftertaste and hold their flavour, quality and colour well after picking. Sweetcorn Lark is a tendersweet variety giving superior sweetness with a softer, less chewy texture than supersweets, making kernels more pleasurable to eat as well as easier to digest. Improved germination adds to the appeal. Sweetcorn Lark can be also grown with other varieties, so there is no need to isolate. Requires a fertile soil in a sunny position.
