One of the ground-breaking Boulevard® clematis, 'Poseidon' was bred by award-winning clematis expert Raymond Evison. This compact, medium-sized plant gives an impressive display over a long flowering season from spring to late summer.
This wonderful, compact climber flowers all the way along its stems, resulting in a proliferation of large, magenta striped lavender flowers from the ground upwards all summer and into late autumn. A beautiful feature for fences, trellises, and arches and is especially effective in containers.
'Poseidon' loves a sunny spot, where it can be trained up trellis for a vertical wall effect or allow to naturally wind its way through beds and borders. Easy to look after, growing to just 1.2m (4ft) it'll never get out of control. A trim in February or March, cutting back stems to 15cm (6in) is all that's needed.
Supplied an established plant in a 10.5cm pot, ready for growing on.
