With that in mind, you just know that Boulevard clematis are sure to be something special. These compact clematis bloom all the way along their stems, resulting in a profusion of extravagantly large flowers from the ground upwards from June until November, an incredibly long flowering season. Their short stature makes them the perfect clematis for growing up obelisks and trellises, especially in containers. Also, they're great in hanging baskets too - an interesting alternative to the more usual trailing plants, with abundant flowers creating breathtaking displays month after month.
