This pretty little Allium is a real delight in late spring and early summer. Starry, white flowers are delicately blushed with a hint of pink, forming elegant rounded flower heads. The blooms rise to around 30cm tall upon upright stems, creating strong vertical structure at the front of borders.
This is a fantastic collection of popular varieties which produce spherical architectural flower heads in May and June perched on stiffly upright stems. As the flowers fade, attractive seed heads remain which become straw coloured as the season progresses, persisting throughout autumn. Producing masses of purple rounded flowers up to 10cm across. Also known as the Persian Onion these fragrant alliums, are perfect for attracting butterflies and bees. Recommended planting time Autumn before the risk of frost allowing them time to root in, plant in well drained soil. Placing bulbs in groups will produce beautiful full of colour spring displays.
