Commonly known as the Wood Anemone, this delicate looking species is tougher than you might expect. Planted in generous groups it will create a carpet of divided, dark-green foliage and dazzling white blooms in spring.
Anemone tomentosa 'Serenade' is easily recognisable in August and September when its semi-double, pale pink blooms appear on delicate stems. These flowers are sure to see the summer out with a flourish. What's more, the hardy perennial also boasts attractive, dark green foliage. These leaves form dense clumps, handy for providing ground cover in sunny or partially shady borders.
