The Cot series of Apricot trees have taken the commercial fruit and gardening World by storm in the last 5 or so years, bringing exceptional crop yields and fruit quality. 'Tomcot' is one of the best for the UK climate, suited to our colder climates, where we get less accumulated sunshine, yet we get plenty of Winter chill to set buds.One of the key reasons it works well over here is it is late flowering, so avoids the late frosts that can afflict other Apricots. Yet, it catches up and still yields heavy crops of juicy, deepest orange fruits in the UK - perfect eaten when warmed by the sun straight off the tree, or for cooking and jam making. The tree is grafted onto dwarfing rootstock, a new dwarfing type keeping it short and manageable. To cap it all, 'Tomcot; is even self-fertile, so does not need a partner to produce heavy crops. You will get crops in 2 years of planting; this is a great opportunity to buy a tree of the size normally available only to commercial plantations. 'Tomcot' really will deliver big crops of fresh Apricots here in the UK.
'Idared' is a good looking, versatile dessert apple producing crunchy, crisp and juicy white fleshed fruit. The medium sized red streaked green fruit has mild and pleasant, refreshing flavour. They also retain their shape well when cooked, so they're ideal for pies and tarts. Ready to pick from late October, these apples keep amazingly keep well for six months, so you can enjoy your home grown harvest well into the following spring. They have a tougher skin than most apples, which makes them harder to damage and adds further to their longevity. 'Idared' requires another apple tree nearby to pollinate it, but given the popularity for growing-your-own fruit and vegetables, you can be sure that there will be one close by. Supplied as an established tree, 150cm (5ft) tall grown on an M9 dwarfing rootstock in a 24cm pot, growing to a height and spread of 2.5m (8ft).

'Buddy' is recent introduction to everbearing strawberries and is taking the supermarket world by storm. Now we are delighted to be able to offer it to the home gardener to grow themselves. Everbearing Strawberries are great for spreading strawberry fruit production out. Starting slightly later than the Wimbledon peak, they have a big yield in mid to late July, but then keep going through August - peaking again in September and continuing to crop until first frosts! This makes eating and using the crops easier, not one huge glut! Everbearers have historically not been quite as good on the taste scores as traditional 'June bearers', but 'Buddy' breaks the mould here. It produces big fruit with great taste, and is the sweetest of any everbearer to date (winning many taste-tests), hence its popularity with supermarkets. And it is a great cropper too - commercial trials showed almost 1Kg per plant in year 2 and 3 (just over 2 pounds per plant). 'Buddy' also has good mildew resistance too, so suits home garden production, where none of want to use chemicals if not needed. Let Buddy become your best friend in strawberries this year.
