OUTDOOR GROWING INSTRUCTIONSMaking the compost: Place the compost pellets in a suitable mixing container and add 1.05ltr of lukewarm water. Allow to stand and expand for 30-60 minutes, drain off any excess water and mix compost well. You may have more compost than you require, and more water could be required if the compost mix is looking dry. How to plant: Plant from March onwards. Fill 90% of the basket with the compost and place the tubers hollow part upwards taking care not to damage any shoots. Tubers should be slightly bedded into the compost. If frosts are still possible, place in a light frost-free position keeping the compost moist. Once the risk of frost has passed, place outside. Flowers will last longer if in semi-shade. Keep compost moist and remove faded flowers. Expert's tip: Empty some of the compost into a re-sealable bag. Place the tubers into the bag and seal. Place in a warm place. After approx. 10-14 days remove the tubers, being careful not to damage the shoots and follow the 'How to plant' growing instructions above.
