The fascination of black or dark flowers continues with this stunning, large, fully double flowered poppy in deepest red to black, with lovely crinkled petals. Easy to grow and superb in the border where it is best left to naturalise. Flowers summer. Height 91cm (36in).

Simply the largest Blackcurrant we have ever seen - end of. If you like your fruits big and juicy, this is the currant for you. And they are particualrly sweet tasting too straight form the bush. This new variety packs a punch too in yield - with more and bigger fruit, expect to pick crops up to 4Kg (8 lbs) of fruit once mature. And, it is also very mildew and disease ressitance, so makes a great garden variety, and deservedly has just won the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Big Ben - the perfect blackcurrant all-rounder.
Finally, here is a black raspberry that's really worth a place in your garden and the fruits are just incredible! You'll get a midsummer crop of ebony-coloured fruits with an intense flavour that is much more aromatic than regular raspberries and tests have shown that they are particularly high in health giving antioxidants. Originally from the US, Black Jewel is tough, and hardy so ideally suited to British conditions and very easy to grow. It's genetically different to normal raspberries and has excellent disease resistance, the habit is just like a summer fruiting type with berries borne on year old growth. Old canes should be pruned away after fruiting (in late summer). Grow with supports against a sunny wall or fence or alternatively in a large pot.
