The ruffled petals come in a beautiful colour mix of red and white hues and trailing up to 80cm, they are unbeatable for creating an avalanche of colour from your summer hanging baskets and patio pots. White cherry blossom appear in spring followed by an abundant crop of large, dark-red, sweet fruit in late July. Self fertile and easy to grow; Sunburst is a popular dessert cherry.
If you only have space to grow one fruit tree, grow this one! 'Stella' cherry is self-fertile (which means it does not need a second variety of cherry tree to pollinate it) and is a really heavy, reliable cropper because it has good resistance to late frosts. Unlike most other sweet cherry varieties, it will thrive in slightly exposed locations but can also be grown in a pot on your patio. The sweetly flavoured, dark-skinned, plump and juicy aromatic fruits will be ready to pick from mid to late July each year. From the third growing season onwards, you can expect upwards of 5kg (11lb) of sweet fruits per tree, which will save a small fortune compared to paying supermarket prices! Additionally, the beautiful cherry blossom, which appears from early March, will brighten your garden and mark the beginning of spring. Our grower-quality, multi-branched trees have been grafted on to G5 rootstock to provide a compact and manageable habit, which in this case will reach approx. 2m (6-7ft) tall.
Also known as the 'Fuji Cherry', this gorgeous, compact tree will burst into flower before the leaves appear in late winter/early spring each and every year! They start as red buds which appear to almost dance around the branches, but then open to reveal beautiful pale-pink flowers, each with a red centre. Perfect for small garden or growing in a pot on your patio, Kojo-No-Mai even provides autumn interest when its green leaves turn from green to bright reddish / orange before falling. The statuesque form of the tree is also a joy to observe on frosty mornings when a haw-frost shows it off to its very best. Now available in eye-catching 'standard' form, this beautiful spring wonder has been skilfully crafted into a lollipop shape with a tall, clear stem and ball of foliage and flower at the top. This is a really unique and exciting way to bring colour and life into your garden. Perfect for growing in pots and containers on the patio, because of its standard form it will remain compact and can therefore be grown in even the smallest of spaces, such as terraces and balconies. 'Kojo-No-Mai' is fully winter hardy whatever the weather and with just a little prune to the desired shape, it's a great choice for a spot of 'easy gardening'!
If you love the taste of cherries, the classic sweet cherry aromatic flavour of Cherry ' Regina' is the perfect variety for you to grow in your garden. 'Regina' produces slightly flattened, dark-red fruit in June and July each year, following a beautiful show of pure-white blossom in spring. The deep-red flesh of these cherries tastes incredible! This top-quality, self-fertile tree is grown on dwarfing rootstock and will reliably produce bumper crops each year, remaining compact enough for even small gardens. A real garden winner.

If in doubt, err towards spring but remember to keep pots well-watered so that the soil does not dry out. Birds will quickly strip the ripening cherries from the tree - drape netting over cherry trees to protect the fruit from birds.Care Guide- Best grown in moderately fertile soil in full sun. Also perfect in large pots on a patio - 30cm diameter or larger and keep well watered.- Shrub roots generally tend to spread out rather than down, so dig a planting hole 3 x wider than the roots of the shrub you're planting, and mix some well rotted compost or manure with the soil from the hole and use this to re-fill one the shrub is in place.- We've found that a square hole is better than a round one as the new roots, once they reach the edges tend to grow in a circle round the circumference of the hole whereas when they reach the corners of a square hole, they find it easier to grow through.- Before planting soak container-grown shrubs thoroughly and allow to drain.- Remove the plant from its pot and tease out a few of the roots- Add Mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help plants establish quicker.- Place your shrub in the hole at the same level at the pot- Refill the hole with the earth removed (backfilling)- Firm in the soil with your heel, avoiding the root ball- Water well- Mulch around the base of the plant with a collar, compost, gravel, bark etc- Apply a slow-release fertiliser such as blood fish and bone in early spring, and mulch to retain moisture, about a month before flowering.- Established trees don't require radical pruning to keep them fruiting, just take off any diseased, dying and damaged branches, (the three Ds) in spring. Look at the overall shape and aim for an open structure of branches and remove any that cross over so they don't damage each other. Trim longer new shoots back mid-summer for better shaped trees.- Harvest crops as soon as they ripen. Avoid leaving windfalls or over-ripe fruit on the ground.- Don't forget the tree guards as rabbits can strip the bark overnight.Planting Time:All yearFlowering Time:April - MayFruiting Time:July - AugustAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. We are still completely blown away by this, when we stumbled across this new concept of fruiting Cherry trees one drizzly winter's day in Northern Holland in 2016. It is revolutionising commercial Cherry cropping. This is simply a completely new way to grow cherries, one which were it not for the persistence of an enthusiastic breeder may never have seen the light of day. It is simply the first bush cherry, as opposed to a tree, so forms a nice neat clump of many fruiting branches right from the base - and as a result does not get too tall, and makes picking really easy - as well as netting from pesky birds. It still has fabulous sweet flavour to rival market leading 'Stella', it yields well, and is 100% self-fertile, and has the iconic spring cherry blossom too - so makes the perfect garden cherry. If pruned hard each summer, it can be kept very compact, and can even produce big crops of fruit. Be one of the first to see what all the excitement is about...
Grown for its gorgeous, springtime displays of pink, bowl-shaped blossoms, 'Triloba' here is grown in standard form creating the perfect compact feature tree for any size garden or patio. The double flowered blossom is a picture in early spring, where the blooms smother bare branches before the foliage appears. What's more, the flowers carry a wonderful floral perfume that will fill the air throughout the spring so make sure you plant somewhere where you can fully enjoy the delightful fragrance. Bright green leaves follow the flowers and fruits for wild birds to feast on arrive late in summer. Concluding in a riot of autumnal-bronze foliage in the autumn, the Prunus Triloba will add colour to your garden throughout the whole year. Perfect for pots, the standard form produces a ball of flowers and foliage atop a long clear stem, adding height to displays but is always very easily maintained with a little prune to shape. Totally winter hardy it can be left outside all year round and will flourish again next year. Supplied as a bare root tree, approx. 1.4m tall, in a standard form.
