One of the most attractive of flowering shrubs, Deutzia scabra has graceful, arching branches and roughly textured, mid-green leaves that are hairy on both sides - hence the common name 'Fuzzy'. Fully hardy and easy to grow, plant in beds and borders or open woodland areas. Deutzia is tolerant of most soil conditions but prefers moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
