This Clearwater Spa Chemical Starter Kit (CH0018) is a fantastic option for a new inflatable hot tub user as it includes a variety of products to help protect and maintain your spa as well as a useful guide for safe and effective water treatment. The kit includes 500g Chlorine Granules for disinfecting pools & spas, 500g PH Plus for increasing PH of pool & spa water, 700g PH Minus for decreasing PH of pool & spa water, 500ml Foam Remover and 25 test strips to test for total alkalinity, chlorine and PH. Chlorine.Approximate dimensions: 14cm (Depth), 20.5cm (Width), 16.5cm (Height).
ClearWater 25 x Dip Test Strips are a quick and easy way to check chemical levels in your above ground pool. Untested water can become a breeding ground for beastly bacteria or develop a chemical imbalance that makes eyes and skin feel like youve battled with a swarm of agitated bees. Testing pool water with the dip strips couldnt be simpler. All you have to do is dip one of the water testing strips into a pool, quickly remove it, hold it horizontally and check the results on the handy colour chart thats printed on the container. The chlorine test strips also highlight waters pH and Total Alkalinity levels. There are three separate sections on each strip to indicate each individual level. Chlorine levels inside an above ground pool should be 1 3 ppm (3 5 ppm for spas), pH levels should be 7.2 7.6 and Total Alkalinity levels should measure 80 100 ppm or 100 120 ppm, depending on the chemical solutions used to treat a pool. Using the chlorine, alkalinity and pH testing strips to check water balance enables you to identify what chemicals need to be added to bring them within the correct parameters.Approximate dimensions: 6.5cm (Depth), 17cm (Width), 12cm (Height).
ClearWater 1kg Chlorine Granules are perfect for giving pool water a daily dosage and maintaining a healthy swimming environment. The cleaning granules produce free active chlorine (FAC), which slays beastly bacteria and beats harmful organisms into submission. The chlorine treatment is easy to apply and, because it has minimal impact on the waters pH levels, makes maintaining a pool incredibly simple. If water temperature exceeds 20C then the recommended amount of chlorine solution can be poured straight into a pool. Best of all, because they rapidly dissolve in a pool, you dont even have to wait around for hours wasting valuable swimming time! If water temperature is below 20C then the swimming pool chlorine granules should be dissolved in a plastic container of water before application. Again, this is an extremely simple method and, whatever way you apply the granules, youll be swimming in a bacteria-free pool in no time at all! As with all chemical products, time should be taken carefully read through instructions and warnings. Thankfully the container of ClearWater 1kg Chlorine Granules is printed with guidelines and cautionary information.Approximate dimensions: 9.7cm (Depth), 19cm (Width), 9.7cm (Height).
Senecio herreianus, also known as the string-of-pearls or string-of-beads plant, is a trailing, succulent vine and one of the rising stars of social media sharing! Looking just like a string of green beads, it's perfect for hanging baskets or cascading from shelves. The String of Beads appreciates room to trail and is perfectly photogenic. The pea-sized leaves (which allow for the storage of water while at the same time minimising water loss) are produced on trailing stems which can grow 6090 cm (2-3 ft). In its natural habitat, the stems trail on the ground, rooting where they touch and forming a dense mat. Each rounded leaf has a thin band of dark green tissue on the side known as an 'epidermal window' which allows light to enter and irradiate the inside of the leaf, effectively increasing the area for photosynthesis - a clever plant indeed. Senecio blooms during the summer with clusters of small white flowers with colourful stamens. The flowers last about a month and are said to smell like cinnamon and other spices to some people. Easy to grow and low maintenance, like most succulents the string of beads will tolerate infrequent watering and just a few hours of direct sunlight every day. Good soil drainage is essential though to prevent problems and we recommend that a cactus mix is used when potting. Please note that the decorative pot is not included.Care GuideBest grown in bright light with some direct sun in well-draining compost. Keep lightly watered during the growing season (spring to autumn) and cut back in winter, watering just enough to prevent the soil from drying out. Beads that look flat are a sign that the soil is too dry. Take care not to overwater as it will not tolerate soggy soil. As a succulent, the String of Pearls will not tolerate the cold and needs a minimum of 5C being frost tender. It can be grown outside in the summer months, but keep it shaded from the hot midday sun. Plants can be fed once a month during their growing season with a half-strength liquid feed. This product is offered for sale for home delivery exclusively via our website only. Not your ordinary fern, the Bears Paw Fern (Phlebodium 'Blue Star) is an attractive and vigorous houseplant with a subtle deep blue-green leaf colour, looking almost like an exotic indoor seaweed! Evergreen, it does not lose its leaves and retains its wonderful colour all year making it a decorative and striking plant to decorate your home. As the plant grows, the fronds develop finger-shaped lobes as they mature, held on long stems and looking very much like an outstretched paw, hence its more common name of Bear's Paw or Rabbit Foot. Easy to grow and look after, your Bear's Paw will tolerate low light. As a natural inhabitant of tropical rainforests, Phlebodium does like its humidity high so is perfect for a bathroom or kitchen where it will thrive in a bright spot, out of direct sunlight. An interesting and unusual fern, Blue Star is also perfect for cutting and flower arranging so don't be afraid to conjure up your inner designer! Supplied as an established plant in a 12cm pot, growing to around 30cm x 30cm. Please note that the decorative pot is not included.Care GuideKeep the compost moist (but not waterlogged) at all times except winter when plants are dormant and water can be cut down (but do not allow to dry out so that the compost shrinks from the side of the pot). If you can't place it in a humid atmosphere like your bathroom you can still grow this plant, just mist the leaves regularly with water and or place the pot on a tray of damp pebbles. Keep your fern at 18-25C. Feed with a general-purpose plant food once a month. When watering, pour water around the sides of the plant, as pouring it the middle can cause water to get caught at the bases of the leaves, which can result in rot. This product is offered for sale for home delivery exclusively via our website only. Choose a sheltered position that is protected from cold winter winds. A south or west-facing wall is ideal.- If growing in pots, use a good quality, soil-based compost, and place some bricks in the bottom to provide ballast.- In particularly cold areas, Trachelospermum is best grown in containers that can be moved to a protected position over winter.Aftercare Advice for Trachelospermum Jasminoides:- Provide the twining stems with an appropriate frame support such as trellis, an obelisk or wires.- During the growing season, water regularly and apply a balanced feed monthly.- Water sparingly in winter.Pruning Advice for Star Jasmine:- After flowering, prune back the stems to restrict them to the available space, simply thinning out congested, weak or badly placed shoots.- Any stray branches can be tied back to their supports to improve the shape of the plant.Planting Time:March - SeptemberFlowering Time:June - SeptemberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire.
