Named after the 4th Countess of Carlisle and the Great Aunt of the famous Lord Byron this beautiful Tulip bouquet has been arranged to create a burst of undeniable colour of which Lady Isabella resembles in the colourful personality she had. Lady Isabella was a lady of the arts including being a talented singer, sketcher and poet of which inspiration came from the colourful gardens of Castle Howard including the many varieties of fruits and vegetables grown in the grounds that we have captured within the colours of this bouquet. Lady Isabella's portrait can still be found in Castle Howard today hanging in the Turquoise Drawing Room as painted by the famous artist Gainsborough in the home she loved dearly. Proceeds from this bouquet will be given to Castle Howard to contribute to the continued preservation and conservation of this beautiful Heritage site and to contribute to the maintenance towards the stunning grounds, to preserve heritage to be enjoyed for many years to come.

Primula 'Stella Porcelain Blue' is a delightful primrose with lovely pale lavender blue flowers with bright yellow centres above rosettes of textured leaves. Primulas are woodland plants, so they love shady areas and look wonderful growing underneath shrubs and trees, and their colour makes them appear to glow in the dappled light. A little taller when in bloom than a lot of primroses, it makes a lovely, delicate cut flower. Reliable perennials that will naturalise easily, they form tight clumps over several years, and are an absolute delight when they emerge each spring. A reliable, heavy-bearing variety of cobnut, Webbs produces large clusters of gorgeously sweet nuts - a good tree can produce 18kg (40lb) of cobbs - perfect for eating fresh or allowing to ripen fully. A fairly new introduction, Webbs Cobnut is an improvement on the old favourite Kentish Cobb with slightly longer nuts and a short husk, and with its showy spring catkins, superb golden-yellow autumn leaves and warm-brown nuts, it's a really first-class addition to your garden. Cobnuts are slightly different to hazelnuts in that the cobnut has a short husk (the leafy casing to the nut), whereas the husk of the hazelnut is long and covers the nut, and the Cobnuts are ready to pick before the leaves change colour, around September. The brown cobnuts will be nestled in a lighter green husk and the time to harvest is when those husks turn yellow - before the squirrels can beat you to the crop! Easy to grow and care for, Webb's Cobnut tolerates most soils, as long as they're not waterlogged, and performs particularly well in poor, well-drained sandy loams. Plant this tree in a sheltered location, in full sun or dappled shade. where this tough and robust cultivar will tolerate both cold and wet conditions - a good choice for northern gardens!Cobnuts are partially self-fertile, but best grown in groups for a larger crop so why not consider a cobnut hedge as un unusual, colourful and highly productive feature.
