A French lavender, Lavandula stoechas 'Greek Mountain' is a impressive, relatively new variety with upright stems up to 60cm tall (2ft) and narrow, very aromatic grey-green leaves. The flowers are topped with long, deep lilac bracts that look like butterfly wings or bunny ears - hence its common name of bunny ear or butterfly lavender.
