Clearwater 25 Test Strips
  • £6.99

ClearWater 25 x Dip Test Strips are a quick and easy way to check chemical levels in your above ground pool. Untested water can become a breeding ground for beastly bacteria or develop a chemical imbalance that makes eyes and skin feel like you’ve battled with a swarm of agitated bees. Testing pool water with the dip strips couldn’t be simpler. All you have to do is dip one of the water testing strips into a pool, quickly remove it, hold it horizontally and check the results on the handy colour chart that’s printed on the container. The chlorine test strips also highlight water’s pH and Total Alkalinity levels. There are three separate sections on each strip to indicate each individual level. Chlorine levels inside an above ground pool should be 1 – 3 ppm (3 – 5 ppm for spas), pH levels should be 7.2 – 7.6 and Total Alkalinity levels should measure 80 – 100 ppm or 100 – 120 ppm, depending on the chemical solutions used to treat a pool. Using the chlorine, alkalinity and pH testing strips to check water balance enables you to identify what chemicals need to be added to bring them within the correct parameters.Approximate dimensions: 6.5cm (Depth), 17cm (Width), 12cm (Height).

FL July - September.Top Tips- Pot-grown shrubs can be planted at any time of the year as long as the soil is not waterlogged or frozen. If in doubt, err towards spring but remember to keep pots well-watered so that the soil does not dry out.Care GuidePlanting Advice for Clethra:- Grow in full sun to partial shade - plants will even tolerate full shade.- Prefers moist, well drained soil that is on the acidic side.- Dig a planting hole 3 x wider than the roots of the shrub you're planting and mix some well-rotted compost or manure with the soil from the hole and use this to re-fill once the shrub is in place.- We've found that a square hole is better than a round one as the new roots, once they reach the edges tend to grow in a circle round the circumference of the hole whereas when they reach the corners of a square hole, they find it easier to grow through.- Before planting soak container-grown shrubs thoroughly and allow to drain.- Remove the plant from its pot and tease out a few of the roots and add Mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help plants establish quicker.- Place your shrub in the hole at the same level at the pot then refill the hole with the earth removed (backfilling).- Firm in the soil with your heel, avoiding the root ball, and water well.Aftercare advice for Clethra:- Keep plants well-watered until established.Pruning Advice for Clethra:- Prune only to remove diseased and damaged parts of the shrub.- Remove root suckers to prevent unwanted spread.Planting Time:February - NovemberFlowering Time:July - SeptemberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire.
