A vigorous Xtra-Tender© variety, 'Swift' has been specifically bred to give incredibly sweet and succulent cobs which grow to 20cm (8in) long and are packed with sunshine yellow, mouth-watering kernels. 'Swift' cobs have particularly thin-skinned kernels, so they are delicious eaten raw and have a wonderful super-sweet crunchiness, or they can be cooked whole. Just remove the husks and boil the cobs for a few minutes or wrap them in foil for the barbeque. Sweetcorn is rich in fibre and a good source of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The cobs are best eaten straight after picking but will keep for a few days in the fridge and they freeze very well too.
