Tendersweet. Superior in both taste and texture, Sweetcorn Swift F1 is quicker to germinate and has better vigour than other varieties. At harvest time Sweetcorn Early Xtra Sweet is twice as sweet as other varieties. Instead of the sweetness and flavour deteriorating as in other sweet normal varieties, Sweetcorn Early Xtra Sweet has a rich sugary flavour and is easy to grow. To ensure maximum sweetness do not grow near ordinary varieties.
This variety of Sweetcorn is a superb, deliciously sweet variety. It is more tolerant of cold soils allowing it to mature more quickly.

Just remove the husks and boil the cobs for a few minutes or wrap them in foil for the barbeque. Sweetcorn is rich in fibre and a good source of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The cobs are best eaten straight after picking but will keep for a few days in the fridge and they freeze very well too. With graceful, arching branches bearing dense clusters of small star-shaped white flowers against grey-green leaves, Deutzia setchuenensis var. corymbiflora is at its most stunning in early summer. Mature plants come into their own again in winter, when the upright stems display pale brown peeling bark.
