This deciduous Clematis was created in France in 1900. Clematis 'Madame Julia Correvon' has been awared the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its garden performance. The flowers have wine-red sepals and creamy-yellow stamens in the centre. It blooms from mid to late summer, so it is a good variety to plant alongside an earlier flowering Clematis.
