Ficus 'Lyrata' is a magnificent indoor specimen tree with huge, glossy, violin shaped leaves that give it its more common name, the Fiddle Leaf Fig. The lush, shiny leaves have prominent pale green veins and face upwards and are much larger than other Ficus, growing to 30cm long and 13cm wide. This is a great plant for adding some serious and dramatic greenery to your indoor space. Eventually growing to a height and spread of 3m (10ft), but this will be restricted by pot size and pruning. Being a native to tropical parts of Africa, 'Lyrata' prefers slightly humid conditions, so it will benefit from a misting of fresh water from a spray bottle every day.
