Hardy Lupins are a staple perennial for cottage gardens and are becoming increasingly popular for cut flower displays too. With their tall, stately spires of bloom, lupins are a real summer garden classic and certainly have the wow factor. Smothered in pea-like flowers, right to the top of their stems, their palmate, sage green foliage creates the perfect backdrop for the eye-catching blooms making a stunning statement in your garden. Traditional lupins need a lot of room and can get tall and leggy, but not the Gallery series! Far more compact and robust, they reach just 60cm tall, yet will still fill your garden with incredible flower power. Perfect for growing in pots and great for creating focal features on patios and decking, you don't need a garden to get the most out of these amazing perennials. Flowering throughout June and July, the perfect blooms of Lupin 'Gallery' open in succession from the bottom of the spire upwards, prolonging the flowering season, and are a magnet to butterflies, bees and other beneficial pollinating insects making your summer garden a haven for wildlife. Easy to grow and totally winter hardy, Manhattan Lights is also easy to maintain and makes the perfect cottage garden plant - it's perennial so comes back year after year with an ever-increasing amount of blooms and works spectacularly when planted alongside old fashioned English roses and hardy geraniums. Supplied as 3 x established plants in 9cm pots and ready to plant out, these lupins are easy to grow and care for and will grow to around 60cm x 60cm, flowering in June - July.

These works were inspired by the view out the window towards the Alpilles Mountains while Van Gogh was in the St-Rémy mental asylum, near Arles. We have carefully selected the perfect combination of Morning Roses, sweet-smellng Freesias, and wheat to represent the warm colours of the dense wheat field. We chose Thlaspi for the olive trees in the distance and darker green Pistacia to represent the Provençal Cypress that towers above the rest. The blue mountains and swirling skies, which feature in many of van Gogh's fine works are symbolised by the addition of blue Agapanthus. This bouquet is inspired by the right panel which depicts Virgin and Child surrounded by joyful Angels. This fine work was originally painted for King Richard II of England and it is one of the rarest of all surviving medieval panel paintings. Our professional team of florists have selected the perfect floral combination to represent this memorable work of art. Peach avalanche roses represent the flowers resting on the heads of the angels while the blue agapanthas and germinis represent the blue and yellow aspects of the painting like the blue robes and shimmering hair of the Angels. The flowers around the lower border of the painting are symbolised by the gorgeous gold flower pick that helps bring all of the design aspects together including the blossoming of the flowers at the angels feet. To finish this bouquet off in impeccable style, we also included gold Eryngium for the gold elements of the painting and, of course, the feathers for those glorious angel wings! Perfect for Christmas, send this bouquet to a friend or loved one to celebrate the festive season! English or French (?), The Wilton Diptych © The National Gallery, London
