This Japanese Barberry does what its name suggests. Berberis thunbergii 'Tiny Gold' is a compact hardy shrub, the deciduous foliage of which is a golden colour when it first appears in the spring. In the summer, these leaves take on a green hue, while the autumn sees them turn spectacular shades of orange and red. The plant's size, a mere 50cm (1'8), surely earns it a place in a patio container or at the front of a cottage garden border. It also boasts delicate, yellow flowers, which bloom in April and May and make this 'Tiny Gold' bush a nectar-rich haven for bees and butterflies in small wildlife gardens. Height: 50cm (1'8). Spread: 50cm (1'8).
Taxus cuspidata 'Dwarf Bright Gold' is an evergreen Japanese Yew that has variegated green/yellow needle like leaves. It can be planted as a hedge, that can be left to grow informally, or as a shaped topiary hedge.
Pre-Planted into a Trough, Begonia Gold Balcony will provide you with a myriad of large, double blooms in bicoloured hues of red, orange and gold. They are perfect for adding long-lasting colour to your garden, patio or balcony.
The perfect size for growing on your patio, whilst still delivering an excellent harvest, and if you're looking for really big, juicy apples, then Patio 'Jonagold' is the variety for you! An attractive garden tree in its own right, white spring flowers give way to huge fruit in October. The apples are yellow with bold, bright red smudges that can sometimes spread to cover most of the skin, and being fabulously juicy with a deliciously sweet flavour and a crisp crunch these are a real treat. They are perfect picked straight from the tree for snacking but this versatile apple is also ideal for cooking, making tasty desserts. By experty grafting to the M9 rootstock 20-30cm above soil level, we've been able to further restrict the already dwarfing habit to produce a wonderful yet productive patio tree. Fully deserving its coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure that this is a proven garden performer, guaranteed to be suitable for UK gardeners at every level of experience. You can therefore plant this in the garden with confidence, harvesting for many years to come. 'Jonagold' is a cross between apples 'Jonathan' and 'Golden Delicious', and is a 'triploid' variety, meaning that it has three sets of chromosomes instead of the usual two. Tiploid varieties are sterile, so they can't pollinate themselves or other apple trees. They need other trees nearby to pollinate them, not an issue if you grow more than one apple in you garden, or if a nearby neighbour does! Supplied as an established tree, 90-110cm (3ft) tall grown on an M9 dwarfing rootstock in a 18cm pot, growing to a height and spread of 1.5m (5ft).
This sensational new variety is a real head turner! The bright yellow and green variegated foliage gives Buddleja 'Butterfly Gold' real star quality, even before its blooms appear.
Rudbeckia hirta 'Amarillo Gold' is a dazzling new variety that will bring a ray of sunshine to the garden on even the cloudiest days. Bred for exceptionally large blooms and a neat, compact habit, this hardy perennial is just as well suited to patio pots as the herbaceous border.
Durable and stylish, this attractive planter has punchable holes in the base making it ideal for a wide range of uses, embellished with an embossed trellis effect to help your patio displays really stand out. Perfect for adding an extra touch of class to your patio displays and ideal for all bedding plants, shrubs and even your patio vegetables! Height: 30cm (12). Diameter: 39cm (15).
A super hardy houseplant that is great for new plant parents. Pretty variegated green and yellow leaves, it will grow long vines so looks great on shelves or as a hanging plant. Light and Water This beautiful plant will tolerate a range of light conditions, including lower indirect light areas, but thrives in moderate sunlight and bright light indoors. So, experiment with different locations in your house and remember the paler it’s leaves the more light it needs. Bright light will help promote and enhance the beautiful yellow variegation in the leaves. A very hardy and easy to care for houseplant. In fact, it is almost impossible to kill it and will remain green even when kept in the dark. Water when you feel the top two inches of the soil is dry, if you see browning water more regularly. Let the soil dry out completely before watering again.
Now you too can grow this ever-popular variety - but much better tasting and at a fraction of the cost of supermarket-bought apples! 'Golden Delicious' is brilliant for growing in your garden. Its fruits have exceptionally sweet, rich flavour and a distinctive golden-green colour. They will look wonderful as they ripen on your tree. It is heavy-cropping and easy to grow - what more could you want? This highly versatile variety will store really well. Use your abundant crops to make delightful desserts and yummy puddings as well as keeping them to eat as they are. Your home-grown harvests will be incomparable to the bland, tasteless apples in the shops. The key is to let them mature on the tree and pick them once they have turned a rich, golden colour. Best of all, your tree will produce bumper crops each year, saving you loads of money compared to supermarket-bought apples over its long life of over 50 years. Enjoy! Supplied as an established tree, 90-110 cm (3-3½ ft) tall in a 5L pot, ready to plant out.
