Taxus cuspidata 'Dwarf Bright Gold' is an evergreen Japanese Yew that has variegated green/yellow needle like leaves. It can be planted as a hedge, that can be left to grow informally, or as a shaped topiary hedge.
Chaenomeles x superba 'Crimson and Gold' is a compact, low growing shrub that flowers in early spring. It produces small red flowers, with golden yellow anthers, on bare branches in early spring before the foliage appears.

Sambucus racemosa 'Sutherland Gold' is an appealing choice if you?re looking for a plant with interesting and light-coloured foliage to fill a gap in a large garden border. The European Red Elder has bright yellow-green, feathery leaves, contrasting wonderfully with shrubs with dark green foliage. Sambucus racemosa 'Sutherland Gold' grows well in all types of soil, but is happiest in a spot that is both well-drained and moist. Euonymus fortunei 'Emerald 'n' Gold' does what its name suggests: its leathery, variegated leaves are, indeed, coloured vibrant shades of emerald and yellow. Although this foliage is evergreen, it gains an eye-catching, pink tint in the winter months, adding interest to what can otherwise become a rather bleak landscape. Perhaps this quality is what prompted the RHS to award the hardy shrub an AGM. Then again, perhaps it was the Spindle's spreading habit, tolerance of drought and ability to grow in shady areas that earned it this honour.
