Otherwise known as the spring starflower, Ipheion uniflorum produces exquisite star-shaped blooms in early spring. Each stem bears a single, sweet-scented flower (reflecting the Latin uniflorum - single flower), with six pointed petals and colours varying through shades of pale silvery-blue to lilac. The narrow leaves appear before the flowers and, being a close relation to alliums, give off an onion-like aroma when crushed. This small, herbaceous perennial is perfect for mixing with other low-level, spring-flowering bulbs in rock and alpine gardens, borders, beds and containers, and is also good for underplanting shrubs and roses. It naturalises easily, rewarding you with more profuse displays year after year. Easy to grow, the bulbs will thrive in full sun or partial shade, preferring a sheltered position with moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Supplied as a pack of 50 bulbs, size 4/5 ready for planting in the autumn.
An outstanding dwarf conifer with flat, fan-shaped sprays of pink-tinted foliage, maturing yellow, then rich gold shades throughout the winter months. Height: 150cm (59?). Spread: 100cm (39?).

Gaura lindheimeri 'Siskiyou Pink' is a compact perennial with wonderful bright pink flowers held on long graceful stems above mounds of narrow foliage. Flowering from May all the way to September Gaura brings a wonderful splash of colour to your garden, and as it keeps on flowering right into the autumn, your borders will look magnificent, even as other summer flowering plants are fading away. With its fresh and airy look, the delicate flowers look a little like butterflies dancing in the breeze. The foliage forms a compact cushion of dark red flushed young leaves that mature to dark green, with flowers buds rising on wand-like stems before bursting open into beautifully bright flowers. A light, informal plant, 'Siskiyou Pink' will fill gaps in your borders and because it's a prairie native, it looks fabulous in wildflower of cottage style planting schemes. It also does well in pots, where its long flowering season will brighten up your patio month after month. Recommended by the RHS as a 'Plant for Pollinators' the flowers are produced through the spring and summer and are a favourite with butterflies and bees. Easy to grow and fully winter hardy and drought tolerant, it prefers a warm spot in a light soil where it can happily grow upwards through other plants, just wonderful! Supplied as 3 x established plants in 9cm pots, ready to plant, growing to 80cm tall and 60cm in width.

They are often used green but can also be left to ripen to a red-green colour.
Originating from South America, these are one of the bulb world?s best kept secrets! Clumps of bright green foliage emerge in the autumn and winter followed by an abundance of star-shaped flowers in spring, which are borne over a longer period than most spring bulbs. The flowers have a delightfully sweet honey fragrance in contrast to the leaves which have an unusual onion scent when crushed.
