Hydrangea paniculata Butterfly
  • £19.99

A beautiful hydrangea, 'Butterfly' is a delightfully light and airy shrub that produces huge, elegant cone shaped panicles of loosely clustered pure white blooms. The flowers are highly fragranced and are loved by butterflies and other pollinators that all find them irresistible as they sway in the breeze between June and August. The flower stems make striking cut flowers and look magnificent in indoor arrangements, and they'll fill your room with their delicious fragrance! 'Butterfly' isn't fussy about soil as long as it's free draining and will thrive in a sunny or partially shaded spot, either in the ground or as an impressive specimen in a large pot. As with all hydrangeas, after the flowing season has ended the remaining flowers can be left on the plant over winter, where they provide a hiding place for insects and look wonderful on frosty days. Supplied as an established plant in a 17cm pot, ready for planting, growing to a height and spread of 1.5m (5ft).

Hydrangea Magic Pillow
  • £12.49

'Magic Pillow' is a very unusual, low growing ground cover hydrangea that's native to the hillsides of Korea and Japan. Living up to its name beautifully, it's covered in abundant flowers from June until September, creating a wonderful pillow of colour. The flower colour changes depending on the acidity of the soil. Alkaline soils will produce gorgeous pink blooms, whilst acid soil will give you strikingly bright mauve-blue. The flower heads open from the outside inwards, becoming fully with each day and although the stems are shorter than most hydrangeas, the flowers still make excellent cut flowers and dry well too. The foliage is lush and green with serrated leaves in spring and summer, and in autumn it transforms to incredible flaming red, orange and purple before they fall. As with all hydrangeas, the faded flowers look spectacular if left on the plant over winter. 'Magic Pillow' is an excellent ground covering shrub that will keep weeds under control and look particularly good at the front of a deep border or on a bank. Preferring light shade over full sun, it's also an ideal shrub for a woodland style garden. Supplied as an established plant in a 19cm pot, ready for planting and growing to a height of 60cm (2ft) and spread of 1.2m (4ft).

Hydrangea Miss Saori
  • £24.97

The amazing Hydrangea that everyone is talking about!! Forget those dull seaside displays of blues and pinks, 'Miss Saori' is something different. And this was recognised when it won the Best Plant 2014 at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Such has been the popularity of this stunning hydrangea that plants remains scarce, although we have once again secured stock of these sought-after beauties for our customers this year. So what is all the fuss about? Well, each flower is fully double, which is unusual for Hydrangeas. To top this, each petal looks sugar-coated with lipstick-pink edging,  fading subtly to the centre, creating a wonderful effect when the huge flowerhead is seen. Bred in Japan by the world's premier Hydrangea hybridiser, 'Miss Saori' also repeat flowers, as it flowers on both young and old wood - this removes many of the conundrums of pruning, making it easier to manage, and longer flowering than conventional types. As if this was not enough, as cooler autumn approaches, and the final flowers blossom, the leaves turn burgundy purple, presenting the perfect foil for the flowers. Be one of the very few who can grow this so early in it's life, it is set to be an exceptionally successful variety. Supplied as 3 x establoshed plants in 9cm pots, ready to plant out now.
