The ladybird tower for ladybirds and other beneficial insects is made from natural air dried FSC certified timber logs and the appearance/height may vary as the product is all natural. Each tower is cleverly constructed to provide hollow central chamber filled with straw to provide insulation and security for beneficial insects. Access to the central chamber is provided by paths drilled through the sides of the log. The central chamber is protected by the apex roof. Lady Isabella was a lady of the arts including being a talented singer, sketcher and poet of which inspiration came from the colourful gardens of Castle Howard including the many varieties of fruits and vegetables grown in the grounds that we have captured within the colours of this bouquet. Lady Isabella's portrait can still be found in Castle Howard today hanging in the Turquoise Drawing Room as painted by the famous artist Gainsborough in the home she loved dearly. Lady Mary Howard was the Daughter of the 6th Earl and Countess of Carlisle who's portrait adorns in the Turquoise Drawing Room within Castle Howard. In the stunning portrait of Lady Mary Howard that was commissioned from the Yorkshire artist John Jackson we see Lady Mary Howard wearing an elegant white dress with a fashionable blue waist ribbon and matching shoes, while holding a small posey of pink roses. These inspired this beautiful bouquet, including beautiful Sweet Avalanche Roses, Pink Germini, Pink Tulips finished with Pink Bouvardia. Proceeds from this bouquet will be passed to Castle Howard to contribute to the continued preservation and conservation of this beautiful Heritage site and to contribute to its maintenance to help ensure it can be enjoyed for many years to come.
