Triteleia Brodiaea 'Queen Fabiola' is as fabulous as its name suggests, with clusters of pretty, star-shaped flowers of deep purple-blue with blue anthers, rising amid narrow-leaved foliage. The bright-green, grasslike leaves appear in spring and die down as the flowers open, creating a spectacular display of agapanthus-like, airy blooms from May to July. Reaching a height of up to 45cm, these hardy perennials are perfect for beds and borders, rock gardens and containers. They will gradually naturalise and spread if left in the ground or can be lifted after flowering and stored over winter for replanting in the spring. Easy to grow, they are ideal for low-maintenance gardening. The long-lasting blooms look pretty in a vase or as an ingredient in a casual bouquet. Plant in groups of at least 10 bulbs for a stunning display and in quantities enough for a good supply of cut flowers.
