Cauliflower Romanesco continuity collection is a wonderful mix of three great varieties. It contains 21 plants, three of each variety.
Created a great deal of interest when grown at the Scottish Horticultural Research Institute, yet it is very widely grown in Northern Italy. The 'spears' can be snapped off individually or all together. Broccoli Romanesco has a taste and texture exceeding the finest broccoli and to really appreciate the flavour it should be cooked and served individually with melted butter.
Daisy-like flowers with yellow centres and feathery foliage which has an apple smell when crushed. Wild chamomile leaves make a delicious soothing chamomile tea, skin wash or shampoo. This delicate annual is also ideal for filling gaps at the front of flower borders. Please note: This variety is not suitable for use as a lawn. Height: 50cm (20). Spread: 25cm (10).

A beautiful Victorian white Clematis, created in 1869, with contrasting red anthers in the centre. Clematis 'Miss Bateman' looks fantastic planted alone or alongside a more brightly coloured Clematis variety. It has an Award of Garden Merit from the RHS and flowers in early summer, often with a second flush of blooms a couple of months later. This Clematis likes moist, well drained soil, with its base shaded by other plants. As well as up walls and fences, Clematis 'Miss Bateman' is also suitable for growing in obelisk planters. 'Miss Bateman' is a simply gorgeous, early season and large flowering clematis with elegant white blooms that have green stripes down the petals. Not one to disappoint, it will produce a second display of pretty white flowers later in the summer from August to September. A vigorous climber, this clematis has a relatively compact habit, and this makes it suitable for growing in container if space is limited, where its free-flowering nature can be put to best effect. Clematis plants make wonderful additions to any garden and can be used very effectively to screen and hide objects and to enhance other plants such as other climbers and shrubs, especially roses. Due to the compact nature of this plant, you can also plant in a pot or container on the patio, so you should not worry about finding space in your borders. Why not grow up an obelisk in a pot for a beautiful patio display? Winter hardy and free flowering, they can pretty much be left to their own devices with just a light trim in late winter/early spring trim and a prune back in the summer after flowering. Ornate, heavily dissected, evergreen leaves provide a superb contrast with the glistening white flowers from early spring. Clematis x cartmanii 'Avalanche' boasts some of the largest blooms of the evergreen clematis, with flowers up to 4cm in diameter. The non-clinging stems have a scrambling habit which is ideal for wandering through borders among established shrubs, or can be trained onto an obelisk for a show-stopping spring display. Sometimes known as the Cobra Lily, it's not hard to imagine how it got this name, resembling the forked tongue of a Cobra. A fiery, exotic and fabulous looking summer-flowering bulb, not widely known or grown, yet very easy in pots. Not entirely hardy, it will take a degree or two of frost if well-drained, so we suggest growing in pots, with added sand or gravel for drainage. Plant 3 or 4 corms in a 25-30cm diameter pot, as they will spread over 5 years or so, giving bigger and better displays. The best displays are from full sun spots, so feed and water well in warmer months. This relative of Montbretia (Crocosomia) produces lovely, deep-orange flame-like flowers in tall and showy spikes in high summer, developing to seed-pods which add autumn interest. Bring the pot inside over winter to ensure survival for following years. Supplied as a pack of 5 bulbs ready to plant out.
