Camassia leichtlinii subsp. suksdorfii Caerulea Group - don?t let the long name put you off! This bulbous perennial is exceptionally elegant. Its slender spires of starry, violet blue flowers rise above neat clumps of strap-like foliage.
The marvellous, full trusses of pure white, funnel-shaped flowers of 'Madam Masson' burst open in May and June and contrast beautifully against the dark green leaves, which are retained all year. The upper petal of the flowers is splashed in mustard yellow speckles, making them absolutely stunning when this Rhododendron is in full bloom. For improved and more abundant flowering, deadhead faded blooms where possible and avoid heavy shade which reduces blooming. Fully deserving its coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure that this is a proven garden performer, guaranteed to be suitable for UK gardeners at every level of experience. You can therefore plant this in the garden with confidence, for stunning displays for many years to come. Rhododendrons are low-maintenance shrubs that will perform superbly provided you plant them well and keep them well-watered. They mostly prefer bright to dappled shade or partial shade, avoiding morning sunlight which can damage buds. Rhododendron roots are shallow, spreading to the sides in search for nutrients., so never plant them too deep - remember that they often grow in shallow cracks on mountainsides.Soil does need to be on the acidic side and rich in humus, cool and always moist which will allow established plants to withstand direct mid-day and afternoon sun. Supplied as an established plant in a 17cm pot, 'Madam Masson' will reach a height and spread of 2m (6½ ft).
A spectacular mass of 50 large headed deluxe red roses with a foliage surround. Hand-tied and presented with a fabric wrap and bow.

Camassias (Wild hyacinths) are one of the easiest, simple to look after bulbs you can grow, thriving in poor soils that other bulbs tend to struggle in. Extremely hardy, this perennial bulb returns year after year, with bigger and better displays and can be successfully naturalised in grass. In late spring, loose spikes of stunning white and violet-blue, star-shaped flowers appear on top of tall stems and are the perfect to compliment tulips. As they flower before many perennials are in bloom, Camassias will add an invaluable splash of colour to your garden. Perfect for sun or light shade, they're also good in containers and as cut flowers, so you can grow and enjoy them even without a garden. Supplied as a pack of 6 bulbs, size 12/14 ready for planting out in autumn.
