Pansy 'Matrix' is a superb hardy perennial and a large flowering variety that has been bred to give outstanding performance in beds, borders, baskets and patio pots. A staple of winter bedding, Pansies are well known to be incredibly tolerant of cold, wet weather, but they tend to droop as the weather warms up. Now with 'Matrix', the plants remain upright and continue to flower prolifically throughout spring and into summer. 'Matrix Britannia' is a patriotic mix of deep red, white and mauve-blue flowers that have a touch of yellow in their centres and look fabulous planted together. Stocks are very well loved garden flowers and a cottage garden favourite. 'Vintage Mixed' is a fabulous hardy annual that will produce gloriously fragrant flowers as early as May and until late summer. They are naturally sturdy, bushy and free flowering, with long, greyish-green leaves and multiple flowers stems densely packed with blooms, over half of which will be double, in a range of shades from white and pale yellow, through pink and mauve and deep purple. 'Victoriana' are gorgeous, old fashioned style Primulas that feature a wonderful lacing effect outlining their flower petals. This mixture features flowers with golden yellow centres in deep mahogany with gold lacing, whilst the bright magenta and rich red varieties have silvery lacing. While they have the same number of petals as any other primula, their unique patterning gives the effect that they have twice as many, and their delightful blooms add a sophisticated contrast when planted with other primulas. The flowers are carried on robust, upright stems and can easily number 10-15 per stem. Primulas are woodland plants, so they love shady areas and look wonderful growing underneath shrubs and trees, where they really brighten up the garden before the summer flowering plants take over. 'Habanera' is the largest flowering of all Bellis daisies, with fully double pompom flowers absolutely packed with narrow, almost needle-like white petals with tips in bright shades of red, pink and white during spring. With their compact habit and robust stems, Bellis look great in pots and flower beds, and are good companion plants for spring flowering bulbs such as tulips. Flowering prolifically with incredibly neat flowerheads above rosettes of spoon shaped leaves, they create a striking display. Bellis self seed very easily if you let them, however, the resulting plants may revert to being single flowered. Regular deadheading will prevent this and also prolong the flowering season. Reliable and winter hardy, the plants are biennial (flower in their second season) and will form a decent sized clump of bluish-green leaves before they are covered in dainty blooms with a starry middle 'eye'. Compact enough to be grown in a pot, they're also ideal for the front of flower beds, or mixed in with other plants where they will fill gaps and poke through other perennial plants - perfect for edging paths or for planting with spring flowering bulbs such as tulips or daffodils.
