Philadelphus in full flower are one of the sights and scents of early summer! Also known as 'Mock Orange' for the sweet citrussy scent of it's pure white blooms it's a must have plant for any garden. Virginal is a fast growing variety that is perfect as a feature plant at the back of the border, although vigorous it can be easily shaped by pruning after flowering in late summer. Pure white double blooms with their lovely scent are borne from late May to July. A deciduous bush it bears mid green oval leaves and likes a sunny spot and good drainage.
