This dwarf variety of Spirea is a low growing shrub with a spreading habit. Spiraea japonica 'Nana' bears sprays of pink fluffy blooms against a backdrop of toothed green foliage in the summer, while in autumn the leaves take on hues of red and orange. Large, slightly flat fruits of up to 500g (18oz) are simply delicious! The flesh is juicy, sweet and meaty and have very few seeds, plus a striking streaky orange and red skin. An heirloom variety, best grown as a cordon outdoors but will be earlier to form ripe fruits in the greenhouse.
