Venus and Mars - National Gallery Flowers - Luxury Flowers - Luxury Flower Delivery - Flowers By Post
  • £54.99

Finalist for 2019 B&LLA Licensing Awards and Winner of the Cultural Enterprise Award 2020. Due to seasonal availability, this bouquet will feature deep red Turkish Carnations that will make the beautiful bouquet even more impressive! Venus had many lovers. She was the goddess of love, after all! One of her lovers was Mars, the god of war. In this painting by Sandro Botticelli, an Italian Renaissance painter, we see Mars asleep and unarmed with Venus gazing upon him as they are surrounded by satyrs. The message behind this painting is that love conquers all or, alternatively, love conquers war. The wasps that swarm around Mars' head are believed to represent the pain that can often accompany great love as well as the Vespucci family. The word 'vespe' is Italian for wasp but the association with this painting is largely speculation. To capture the colours, textures, and message behind this great work, our expert florists have selected each stem with the greatest of care. The passionate emotion of this painting as well as the red accents here and there are represented by Naomi Roses and Tulips. The copper ruscus plays the role of the many gold elements in this work including the fine clothing trim and the colours of Mars' weapons and helmut. Finally, we added birch for textural contrast since this painting also includes various softer and rougher textures that all work wonderfully together just like those in our bouquet. © The National Gallery, London An excellent choice for all occasions especially romantic events like your anniversary or Valentine's Day!

Wheatfields by Van Gogh - National Gallery Flowers - National Gallery Bouquets - Luxury Bouquets - Luxury Flowers
  • £40.00

Finalist for 2019 B&LLA Licensing Awards and Winner of the Cultural Enterprise Award 2020. These luxury flowers are inspired by the masterpieces housed at The National Gallery. Each bouquet is beautifully arranged by our floral designers exclusively for The National Gallery. A Wheatfield, with Cypresses is one of three near identical paintings by Van Gogh. These works were inspired by the view out the window towards the Alpilles Mountains while Van Gogh was in the St-Rémy mental asylum, near Arles. We have carefully selected the perfect combination of Morning Roses, sweet-smellng Freesias, and wheat to represent the warm colours of the dense wheat field. We chose Thlaspi for the olive trees in the distance and darker green Pistacia to represent the Provençal Cypress that towers above the rest. The blue mountains and swirling skies, which feature in many of van Gogh's fine works are symbolised by the addition of blue Agapanthus. Wilton Diptych - National Gallery Flowers - National Gallery Bouquets - Flower Arrangements Inspired by Art - Luxury Flowers
  • £40.00

Finalist for 2019 B&LLA Licensing Awards. Available for UK next day delivery. These luxury flowers are inspired by the masterpieces housed at The National Gallery. Each fine bouquet is carefully arranged by our floral designers exclusively for The National Gallery. The Wilton Diptych consists of a left and right panel. This bouquet is inspired by the right panel which depicts Virgin and Child surrounded by joyful Angels. This fine work was originally painted for King Richard II of England and it is one of the rarest of all surviving medieval panel paintings. Our professional team of florists have selected the perfect floral combination to represent this memorable work of art. Peach avalanche roses represent the flowers resting on the heads of the angels while the blue agapanthas and germinis represent the blue and yellow aspects of the painting like the blue robes and shimmering hair of the Angels. The flowers around the lower border of the painting are symbolised by the gorgeous gold flower pick that helps bring all of the design aspects together including the blossoming of the flowers at the angels feet. To finish this bouquet off in impeccable style, we also included gold Eryngium for the gold elements of the painting and, of course, the feathers for those glorious angel wings! Perfect for Christmas, send this bouquet to a friend or loved one to celebrate the festive season! English or French (?), The Wilton Diptych © The National Gallery, London
