This vigorous plant grows to 2 metres in next to no time, so it's no wonder it is known as the Olympian Mullein! It brings almost instant impact, bearing butter-yellow blooms all the way up its tall, magnificent stems, which grow from basal foliage of silver, felted leaves. Verbascum olympicum is fairly short lived, usually blooming in its third year and dying after its fabulous display. However, it spreads its seeds generously so new plants will replace the old. It thrives in hot, dry conditions and grows well in poor soil, requiring little maintenance. Height: 2m (6.6'). Spread: 60m (24).
