Symphoricarpos x doorenbosii 'Mother of Pearl' has nectar rich, white flowers in summer, and powder pink berries in autumn making it an ideal shrub for a wildlife-friendly garden.
Showy, exotic and with evergreen foliage, this Spurge puts on a great display all year round. In April, tall flower spires rise above the foliage bearing a mass of lime green flowers, each with a black eye gleaming at its centre. These tall, architectural flower spires stay on the plant from spring until the first frosts of winter, making it one of the longest flowering of garden plants. Euphorbia characias 'Black Pearl' is an excellent choice for a dry, sunny Mediterranean-style garden and will withstand drought. The nectar of Milkweed is attractive to pollinating insects. Height and Spread: 60cm (24).
Spikes of intensely fragrant, waxy white flowers are produced throughout summer, which make captivating cut flowers. The semi-double, fragrant tuberose flowers of this relatively unknown bulb are carried above narrow, lance shapes leaves. It can also be grown outdoors in containers or sheltered sunny borders, if it is lifted and stored frost-free over winter. Height: 120cm (48). Spread: 15cm (6).
Commonly known as Tuberoses, these amazingly sweet-scented beauties will enchant you in summer, as their beautiful fragrance wafts gently on warm evening breezes. You can see why it is used so much as a base fragrance in leading perfumes !! Tuberoses make a really nice cut flower to scent a room with, or enjoy in pots too. Plant the bulbs indoors in spring to get a head start, and bring outside from May, growing in a warm, sunny spot. They flower in August and September, producing pretty creamy white double flowers, with an intoxicating strong fragrance, on stems about 60-80cm tall. Top tip for success is once flowered, remove this section of the bulbs, as it never flowers again, but leaving new side shoots to flower next year. Bring pots inside each winter for frost-free area, and dry back. Enjoy the allure of your own Tuberose fragrances wafting on evening breeze in your garden.

Senecio herreianus, also known as the string-of-pearls or string-of-beads plant, is a trailing, succulent vine and one of the rising stars of social media sharing! Looking just like a string of green beads, it's perfect for hanging baskets or cascading from shelves. The String of Beads appreciates room to trail and is perfectly photogenic. The pea-sized leaves (which allow for the storage of water while at the same time minimising water loss) are produced on trailing stems which can grow 6090 cm (2-3 ft). In its natural habitat, the stems trail on the ground, rooting where they touch and forming a dense mat. Each rounded leaf has a thin band of dark green tissue on the side known as an 'epidermal window' which allows light to enter and irradiate the inside of the leaf, effectively increasing the area for photosynthesis - a clever plant indeed. Senecio blooms during the summer with clusters of small white flowers with colourful stamens. The flowers last about a month and are said to smell like cinnamon and other spices to some people. Easy to grow and low maintenance, like most succulents the string of beads will tolerate infrequent watering and just a few hours of direct sunlight every day. Good soil drainage is essential though to prevent problems and we recommend that a cactus mix is used when potting. Please note that the decorative pot is not included.Care GuideBest grown in bright light with some direct sun in well-draining compost. Keep lightly watered during the growing season (spring to autumn) and cut back in winter, watering just enough to prevent the soil from drying out. Beads that look flat are a sign that the soil is too dry. Take care not to overwater as it will not tolerate soggy soil. As a succulent, the String of Pearls will not tolerate the cold and needs a minimum of 5C being frost tender. It can be grown outside in the summer months, but keep it shaded from the hot midday sun. Plants can be fed once a month during their growing season with a half-strength liquid feed. This product is offered for sale for home delivery exclusively via our website only.
