The fruits of this productive Chilli Pepper are a real talking point - maturing from green through to black before eventually turning red if left long enough. The 7cm (3) long fruits are produced in profusion, with a medium heat when used in the kitchen. Bred in the UK, Chilli Pepper 'Chenzo' is particularly capable of coping with our ever changing weather. This neat little Bean is slightly taller than the well known variety 'The Sutton? but equally good for growing in patio containers. An early setting of white flowers produces a good crop of pods, each containing up to 6 bright green beans. Having been bred as a gourmet crop, the beans are delicately flavoured, and provide an excellent source of folate, fibre and vitamin B.
