There really is something special and iconic about English Shrub Roses, which is the term for the old-fashioned type of classic rose with a very filled centre, their petals making the most remarkable patterns. New breeding over many years has made them much easier to grow in all gardens - big or small - either in larger pots or in borders and beds. This variety has been bred to have both a good fragrance, and superb disease resistance - not always possible with roses, but our growers have managed it! Best of all it is a repeat flowerer, and will bloom for 4-5 months with little dead-heading, although you may wish to keep them tidy. It's a little more vigorous and less formal than Hybrid Tea Roses, so mix them in with other shrubs in borders too. Supplied as 1 bare root plant, trimmed back to 30-35cm, dormant without leaves, to plant November to April.
Gorgeous pale pink double flowers covered purple freckles give this hellebore a striking, exotic look that's a welcome sight in the winter garden. The beautiful blooms, each 3-5 cm in diameter, are incredibly tough and will withstand the harshest of winter wind, rain and cold. A hardy perennial with flowers from January until April, rising up to 35 cm above leathery evergreen leaves.Extremely simple to grow, hellebores will slowly establish into small clumps, thriving in lower light and shady spots. They can be grown in pots too, provided they do not dry out in summer. Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot ready to plant out, reaching a height and spread of 35 cm (14 in).
Delicate in appearance, but tough in character, these spreading perennials will carpet your garden in rich colour and keep weeds at bay. This variety is evergreen, with a height of no more than 15-25cm. Each plant can spread up to 45cm across and will form spreading mats of mid-green leaves which, from June to September, are smothered with flowers. This hardy rockery plant has many uses - underplant trees, shrubs and tall perennials, soften path edging or cover awkward slopes and banks. If you're tired of your lawn, why not replace it with a sea of seasonal colour that bridges the colour gap between winter and summer bedding. Your collection will include Phlox 'Candy Stripes', 'Pharaoh Red Eye', 'Red Admiral', 'Drumonds Pink' and 'Emerald Cushion Blue'.
Amazing plumes of pink flowers cover this deciduous shrub almost continually from spring to the first frosts. The abundant blooms of Lilac 'Bloomerang' are sweetly fragrant and make a lovely addition to cut flower arrangements. With a neat, compact habit, this superb lilac bush makes a fabulous specimen for cottage garden borders and large containers.
A new introduction and a worthy plant for your borders and pots this year, these bedding plants have been bred to perform really well in your garden and are ideal when grown in containers. With two different flower colours on the same plant, each one is smothered in both pastel pink and also yellow flowers, this Marguerite Daisy will flower its little heart out all summer and into autumn, filling your garden with dazzling, colour-changing blooms. Really easy to grow and ideal for beginner gardeners, the compact plants are well branched, meaning that you'll get plenty of flowers. Good for wildlife too as each daisy is held above the finely divided, feathery leaves, making them stand out even more, creating a mecca for butterflies and other pollinators. Supplied as 6 x plug plants, ready to grow on before planting out.
