Supplied as an established plant in a 3L pot, ready for potting on or planting out.Top Tips- For improved and more abundant flowering, dead-head faded blooms where possible and avoid shade which reduces blooming.- Perfect for growing in a large container (remember to use ericaceous compost), just make sure that you feed and watered well and re-pot every couple of years.Care GuidePlanting Advice for Rhododendron 'Bollywood':- Rhododendrons can tolerate a more open site as long as they are sheltered from cold, drying winds and early morning sunlight.- Mulch plants and water deeply and regularly during dryer periods from July onwards.- Your Rhododendron should be planted slightly higher than it was in its pot into well-draining soil.- Rhododendrons need an acidic soil with a pH of around 5.5 in order to thrive.- Soils with pH higher than 5.5 should be acidified before planting or you can grow them in a container with ericaceous compost.Aftercare Advice for your 'Bollywood' Rhododendron':- Keep plants well-watered and apply a mulch to prevent the soil from drying out.Pruning Advice for Rhododendrons:- Naturally compact and well-behaved, your 'Bollywood' Rhododendron requires little pruning apart from the removal of spent blooms, taking them off right after blooming and before any branching buds begin to grow,.- Any dead or damaged branches can also be removed at this point.Planting Time:February - NovemberFlowering Time:April - MayAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. RHS Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi for Ericaceous plants
  • £12.99

The UK's leading mycorrhizal planting product - as endorsed by the RHS. This special formulation is designed for acid loving (ericaceous) plamts only. The completely natural way to look after the secret root system of ericaceous plants and trees, each pouch contains hundreds of thousands of naturally occurring beneficial fungi, which help protect roots from disease, and helps take up feed more effectively. Especially beneficial to get bare root plants off to a headstart, it works well for pot grown plants too -and can be used all year long. If you are planting in pots or containers, the natural biological soil bacteria are completely absent, so incoprorating Rootgrow as you plant introduces these natural benefical bacteria, which will colonise the compost, and benefit your plants for many years to come. Similarly if you are planting in poorer soils, or planting a new garden or hedge for the first time, introducing these goodies will help quicker establishment, and better fertiliser uptake in future. Tests have shown they can increase the active root area of plants by 700 times a month after planting. This helps your plants get away quicker and better, makes them, more drought tolerant, use fertiliser more efficiently, and make them more robust. And, because they are a living, evolving community, one application lasts forever.

Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry.- Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.- For best results, feed roses in in late-March/April and again late July.Planting Time:March - OctoberFlowering Time:June - NovemberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. Rose 'Iceberg' - Single Established Plant
  • £17.99

This product is offered for sale for home delivery exclusively via our website only. The images represent established plants, the supplied product may be younger. All heights listed are approximate and fully established plant heights may vary. The amount of foliage, buds or bloom on the plant will depend on what part of the season the product is purchased. Please see description below for full product details.Surprisingly, good white roses are hard to find but ‘Iceberg’ is quite simply one of the very best roses ever bred. A floribunda rose, it produces wave upon wave of gorgeous clusters of medium-sized, lightly double, pure-white flowers in a wonderful contrast against its dark-green, glossy foliage. Purest white, sometimes with a tinge of blush pink in the heat, it has a light sweet fragrance it keeps on going all summer, and well into the short nights of autumn. Repeat flowering, vigorous and very easy to grow, 'Iceberg' has won stacks of awards since it was first bred over half a century ago and is still as popular as ever. Fully deserving its coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure that this is a proven garden performer, guaranteed to be suitable for UK gardeners at every level of experience. You can therefore plant this in the garden with confidence, for stunning displays for many years to come. Floribunda Roses produce large clusters of flowers, creating a gorgeous effect in your garden which lasts over many seasons - few other plants can do that for you! Perhaps due to the number of flowers, floribunda roses don't usually have much scent, and if they do it's generally light. That said, more fragrant varieties are being bred all the time. The good news for new gardeners or those with very little time on their hands, is that as they are generally hardy, more robust and more disease resistant than other rose types, they really are one of the easiest types to grow and perfect for most garden situations, including containers for the more compact types. A great garden rose and an absolute must-have for any rose lover! Supplied as an established plant in a 3L pot, ready to plant out. Grows to approx. 1m x 1m and flowers May-Sept.Top Tips- When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease.- Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.Care GuidePlanting Advice for Iceberg Rose:- Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought dry.- Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.- Add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole and plant so that the graft union (the swollen are when the stems meet the roots) is just below soil level.- Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.Aftercare Information for your 'Iceberg' rose:- Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry.- Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.- For best results, feed roses in in late-March/April and again late July.Pruning Advice for Rosa Iceberg:- To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly.- Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.Planting Time:February - AprilOctober - NovemberFlowering Time:May - OctoberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire.
