'Sweet Seduction' is one of the Seduction series of mophead hydrangeas, bred in China to be naturally compact and prolifically flowering. Beautifully textured pale pink blooms with ruffled edges are borne on large, extravagant flower heads carried on strong stems from June to October, a stunning sight and as summer passes they gradually change colour to purple tinted with green. The foliage is mid-green and heavily toothed, adding yet more texture to this already wonderfully tactile shrub, and autumn turns the leaves to a soft, creamy yellow. Seduction hydrangeas are ideal for growing in large pots and make spectacular feature plants on patios, terraces and balconies, and they're also magnificent in borders, where they're large enough to make and impact but won't take over. The large flower heads consist of sterile coloured bracts which look like flowers and make fantastic cut flowers for both summer colour and dried winter arrangements. Also, they can be left on the plant during the winter, where they'll make a home for overwintering insects and look great during frosty weather. Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready for planting, growing to a height and spread of 1.5m (5ft).
A striking bicolour, mophead variety, with blue petals frosted with white edges. This eye-catching hardy shrub makes a striking focal point for patio pots and borders where it provides a long season of interest.
Bring some elegance to your patio pots with these showy, dwarf Hydrangeas. Large mop head flowers are borne at the stem tips throughout summer, above the attractive, dark green foliage.
This truly unique hydrangea comes from a development in recent breeding which boasts stunning colour and flower shapes. Bursts of unusual purple-pink-blue flowers are produced on dark, almost black stems - and the colours look different every time you look at it! This hydrangea plant will provide total colour coverage from June to November once established. The perfect hydrangea for gardeners looking for incredible garden performance, really unusual colour-changing flowers and something different to plant in borders and large containers this season.
Most Hydrangeas produce great results but require little maintenance, and Hydrangea macrophylla 'Blue Danube' is no exception. When given space in a sunny or partially shady border or patio container, the hardy shrub will produce striking flowerheads in July and August. These blooms can grow to an impressive 20cm (8) in diameter, transforming cottage gardens and dominating any cut flower display. The papery petals are typically a blue-purple colour when the plant is grown in acidic soil, while an alkaline environment will result in a pink tone. Height: 1m (3'3). Spread: 1m (3'3).
Hydrangea's are one of the UK's favourite shrubs and there's no stopping their reign with the delightful Hydrangea 'Blueberry Cheesecake'.
