Old English Shrub Rose Pink
  • £9.99

There really is something special and iconic about English Shrub Roses, which is the term for the old-fashioned type of classic rose with a very filled centre, their petals making the most remarkable patterns. New breeding over many years has made them much easier to grow in all gardens - big or small - either in larger pots or in borders and beds. This variety has been bred to have both a good fragrance, and superb disease resistance - not always possible with roses, but our growers have managed it! Best of all it is a repeat flowerer, and will bloom for 4-5 months with little dead-heading, although you may wish to keep them tidy. It's a little more vigorous and less formal than Hybrid Tea Roses, so mix them in with other shrubs in borders too. Supplied as 1 bare root plant, trimmed back to 30-35cm, dormant without leaves, to plant November to April.

Polyantha Rose The Fairy Yellow
  • £9.99

Making a welcome return to UK gardens, 'The Fairy' is a variety of Polyantha rose, a small, vigorous rambler with a low-growing habit which is invaluable as groundcover and perfect for filling patio pots with colour. A great successor to the popular flower carpet roses, what these roses lack in fragrance, they certainly make up for in looks and performance, producing wave after wave of perfectly formed rose flowers in large, closely packed bunches. These contrast magnificently against the glossy green leaves, which really highlight the colours, making the blooms 'pop'. As well as their gorgeous looks, 'The Fairy' series of polyantha roses are also extremely hardy with good disease resistance, forming neat, compact bushes which makes them ideal for growing in patio pots and the front of flower borders. Awarded the much sought-after RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure that these plants have been assessed and declared perfect garden plants. Flowering continuously from June until the first frosts, these delicate little roses are extremely versatile and very low maintenance, which makes them the perfect addition to your garden where they can be left to get on and do what they do best! Rosa 'The Fairy Yellow' has a cheery yellow flower which blushes apricot-pink as they age. Forming a well-branched plant with typical glossy, dark green leaves, Fairy Yellow is undemanding and flowers well into the autumn. Growing to just 40 - 60cm (2 - 3ft) we send a professional quality plant in a 1.5L pot ready to plant now.

Rose Raspberry Ripple Papageno
  • £9.99

And now for something to amaze your friends and family - an eye-catching, bicoloured rose, producing masses of amazing two-toned flowers. A great partner for our other striped rose, 'Oranges and Lemons', 'Raspberry Ripple' has red blooms that are boldly splashed and striped with white, superb as a cut flower and striking in mixed flower borders. A repeat flowering floribunda rose, Raspberry Ripple produces clusters of large, blooms throughout the summer and into the autumn, so if you're looking for a rose a little out of the ordinary, then this is the one for you. Being a floribunda, this rose bush has good disease resistance, is hardy and easy to grow, and produces large clusters of lightly fragrant blooms over a long season, making it ideal in the garden or in a large pot on the patio or balcony. The incredible colour is caused by what is known as a 'jumping gene' which creates instability in the colour genes of each flower, so it can be either of two colours. This makes each petal and each flower 100% unique, giving a lovely contrasting mix - and it only occurs in red and orange roses. Supplied as a bare-root plant, ready to plant out.
