This product is offered for sale for home delivery exclusively via our website only. The images represent established plants, the supplied product may be younger. All heights listed are approximate and fully established plant heights may vary. The amount of foliage, buds or bloom on the plant will depend on what part of the season the product is purchased. Please see description below for full product details. Also known as The Thornless Rose, Zephrine Drouhin is one of very few almost thornless Climbing roses available. Not only that, it produces an incredibly powerful, strong fruity rose scent that fills the air! Its lovely cerise-pink blooms are produced in abundance over a long period, repeat flowering all Summer, and as an overall display stand out wonderfully against the mid-green foliage. It is easy to grow great for beginners and makes an outstanding hedge. Height to 2.5M. A great old rose, ever-popular and always in our Top 3 sellers, and it's not hard to see why.Top Tips- To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly. Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back. When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease. Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.Care Guide- Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry. Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.- Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, so add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole if necessary and plant so that the graft union (the swollen area when the stems meet the roots) is around 3cm below soil level. Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry.- Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.- For best results, feed roses in in late-March/April and again late July.Planting Time:October - AprilFlowering Time:May - OctoberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. Rose 'Iceberg' - Single Established Plant
  • £17.99

This product is offered for sale for home delivery exclusively via our website only. The images represent established plants, the supplied product may be younger. All heights listed are approximate and fully established plant heights may vary. The amount of foliage, buds or bloom on the plant will depend on what part of the season the product is purchased. Please see description below for full product details.Surprisingly, good white roses are hard to find but ‘Iceberg’ is quite simply one of the very best roses ever bred. A floribunda rose, it produces wave upon wave of gorgeous clusters of medium-sized, lightly double, pure-white flowers in a wonderful contrast against its dark-green, glossy foliage. Purest white, sometimes with a tinge of blush pink in the heat, it has a light sweet fragrance it keeps on going all summer, and well into the short nights of autumn. Repeat flowering, vigorous and very easy to grow, 'Iceberg' has won stacks of awards since it was first bred over half a century ago and is still as popular as ever. Fully deserving its coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure that this is a proven garden performer, guaranteed to be suitable for UK gardeners at every level of experience. You can therefore plant this in the garden with confidence, for stunning displays for many years to come. Floribunda Roses produce large clusters of flowers, creating a gorgeous effect in your garden which lasts over many seasons - few other plants can do that for you! Perhaps due to the number of flowers, floribunda roses don't usually have much scent, and if they do it's generally light. That said, more fragrant varieties are being bred all the time. The good news for new gardeners or those with very little time on their hands, is that as they are generally hardy, more robust and more disease resistant than other rose types, they really are one of the easiest types to grow and perfect for most garden situations, including containers for the more compact types. A great garden rose and an absolute must-have for any rose lover! Supplied as an established plant in a 3L pot, ready to plant out. Grows to approx. 1m x 1m and flowers May-Sept.Top Tips- When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease.- Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.Care GuidePlanting Advice for Iceberg Rose:- Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought dry.- Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.- Add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole and plant so that the graft union (the swollen are when the stems meet the roots) is just below soil level.- Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.Aftercare Information for your 'Iceberg' rose:- Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry.- Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.- For best results, feed roses in in late-March/April and again late July.Pruning Advice for Rosa Iceberg:- To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly.- Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.Planting Time:February - AprilOctober - NovemberFlowering Time:May - OctoberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. Climbing Rose 'New Dawn'
  • £14.99

This product is offered for sale for home delivery exclusively via our website only. The images represent established plants, the supplied product may be younger. All heights listed are approximate and fully established plant heights may vary. The amount of foliage, buds or bloom on the plant will depend on what part of the season the product is purchased. Please see description below for full product details.A stunning Climbing rose with a wonderfully sweet fragrance, Rosa 'New Dawn' bursts into life each May or June with clusters of beautiful, palest shell-pink coloured blooms flowering repeatedly throughout the season. Its lovely scent will fill your patio or garden, and its dark green, glossy foliage is strong, reliable and disease resistant. Climbing Roses bring height and a sense of plenty to the garden, where they are normally grown along house walls and fences but are also perfect for growing up obelisks, arches and trellises. With clusters of large flowers, 'New Dawn' will repeat flower throughout the year, adding much needed colour to the garden when other plants have finished. Reaching 3m height, it is perfect for growing over a pergola or trellis. Voted Worlds Favourite Rose in 1997, and one of the few Climbers to be so, as well as achieving the RHS Award of Garden merit, this cracking climber will perform well wherever you plant it.Top Tips- All of our freshly potted roses are field grown and dug up and potted when the weather conditions are right in October or November, just as the plants are entering their winter dormancy, which helps keep the roots hydrated and in good condition. The roses can be kept in their pots throughout the winter provided they are kept well fed and watered, however ideally, they should be planted out as soon as possible. Because plants are dormant throughout the winter, they do not produce any new roots until spring, so don't be alarmed if the compost falls away from the roots when you take them out of their pots. They will already have been cut back so no further pruning will be required, apart from removing any tips that have died back.Care Guide- Climbing roses are not self-clinging and need support to which the shoots can be tied. If training up pillars, arches or pergolas, twist the main shoots gently around the uprights, keeping them as horizontal as possible, to encourage flowering shoots to form low down.- To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly. Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.- Shorten side shoots by one third to one half, to encourage branching.- When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease.- Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.- Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry. Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.- Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, so add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole if necessary and plant so that the graft union (the swollen area when the stems meet the roots) is around 3cm below soil level.- Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry.
