Not only that, it produces an incredibly powerful, strong fruity rose scent that fills the air! Its lovely cerise-pink blooms are produced in abundance over a long period, repeat flowering all Summer, and as an overall display stand out wonderfully against the mid-green foliage. It is easy to grow great for beginners and makes an outstanding hedge. Height to 2.5M. A great old rose, ever-popular and always in our Top 3 sellers, and it's not hard to see why.Top Tips- To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly. Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back. When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease. Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.Care Guide- Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry. Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.- Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, so add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole if necessary and plant so that the graft union (the swollen area when the stems meet the roots) is around 3cm below soil level. Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry.- Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.- For best results, feed roses in in late-March/April and again late July.Planting Time:October - AprilFlowering Time:May - OctoberAbout You GardenEstablished for over 50 years, our award winning trusted plant supplier are based in South Lincolnshire. Climbing Rose 'New Dawn'
  • £14.99

This product is offered for sale for home delivery exclusively via our website only. The images represent established plants, the supplied product may be younger. All heights listed are approximate and fully established plant heights may vary. The amount of foliage, buds or bloom on the plant will depend on what part of the season the product is purchased. Please see description below for full product details.A stunning Climbing rose with a wonderfully sweet fragrance, Rosa 'New Dawn' bursts into life each May or June with clusters of beautiful, palest shell-pink coloured blooms flowering repeatedly throughout the season. Its lovely scent will fill your patio or garden, and its dark green, glossy foliage is strong, reliable and disease resistant. Climbing Roses bring height and a sense of plenty to the garden, where they are normally grown along house walls and fences but are also perfect for growing up obelisks, arches and trellises. With clusters of large flowers, 'New Dawn' will repeat flower throughout the year, adding much needed colour to the garden when other plants have finished. Reaching 3m height, it is perfect for growing over a pergola or trellis. Voted Worlds Favourite Rose in 1997, and one of the few Climbers to be so, as well as achieving the RHS Award of Garden merit, this cracking climber will perform well wherever you plant it.Top Tips- All of our freshly potted roses are field grown and dug up and potted when the weather conditions are right in October or November, just as the plants are entering their winter dormancy, which helps keep the roots hydrated and in good condition. The roses can be kept in their pots throughout the winter provided they are kept well fed and watered, however ideally, they should be planted out as soon as possible. Because plants are dormant throughout the winter, they do not produce any new roots until spring, so don't be alarmed if the compost falls away from the roots when you take them out of their pots. They will already have been cut back so no further pruning will be required, apart from removing any tips that have died back.Care Guide- Climbing roses are not self-clinging and need support to which the shoots can be tied. If training up pillars, arches or pergolas, twist the main shoots gently around the uprights, keeping them as horizontal as possible, to encourage flowering shoots to form low down.- To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly. Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.- Shorten side shoots by one third to one half, to encourage branching.- When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease.- Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.- Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry. Rose Marie Curie
  • £14.99

A delightful, abundantly flowering spray rose, bearing pretty, dainty blooms in a mix of shrimplike tones of bright pinky and orange all summer long. A fast-growing and consistent bloomer, 'Marie Curie' is an award-winning floribunda rose with double, peony-shaped flowers that have a light fragrance.  With a colour and scent reminiscent of old-fashioned roses, it's ideal planted near a patio or terrace, in flower beds and borders. It also makes a charming display when planted in a pot or container. Part of an entirely new collection of 'Romantic' rose, this prolific bloomer is complimented with glossy, dark-green foliage. Its wonderfully nostalgic character is guaranteed to add a touch of enchantment to your garden. Supplied as an established plant in a 3L pot ready to plant out. It will grow to 75cm height x 50cm spread, flowering June to September.
