Following Honeoye, Florence will be ready to pick in late June and crops for several weeks. Expect a bountiful crop of dark red firm beriies with an outstanding sweet strawberry taste. Easy to grow too with excellent resistance to disease. Calypso. Everbearing variety. Crops on a little and often basis from the middle of July so is the perfect follow on from Florence. Although lacking the flush of fruit of the other two Calypso will produce sweet juicy strawberries over many weeks from July right through to autumn. A perfect variety for containers too.

Dusting with fungicide will help keep the bulbs healthy.Care Guide- Summer bulbs should be planted in spring, when the soil is beginning to warm up and directly after purchase.- Your bulbs will enjoy a warm, sunny position, in fertile, free-draining soil. Heavy, clay soil can be improved by digging in 1-2 buckets of coarse sand per square metre.- To plant, dig individual holes for each bulb or a trench if you're planting in groups. Place bulbs in the holes without pushing down hard. Make sure the growing point is pointing upwards, then cover with soil.- Use the bulb as a guide and plant it two or three times its depth.
