Clematis montana are often called 'mile-a-minute' clematis, and with good reason! Daphne tangutica is a medium-sized evergreen shrub with clusters of purple buds crowding the tips of each branch, opening to reveal star-shaped, white flowers with a reddish purple flush on the outside. With a compact habit and dark green, oblong leaves, this Daphne is perfect for even the smallest borders, ideally close to a path or doorway where the scent can be fully appreciated every time you pass.
