Flowering in May and June, Melittis 'Royal Velvet Distinction' is a woodland perennial with beautiful flowers. They are orchid like, with white petals and pinky purple throats. Melittis, sometimes known as 'Bastard Balm', is a great plant for shady borders in woodland and wildlife friendly gardens.
