Gerbera Garvinea Sweet Series
  • £9.99

The world's first Hardy Gerbera in a range of bright, zingy neon colours, the Garvinea series was originally launched to great acclaim across Europe. Bringing the popular florists' gerbera flowers to a garden perennial, they give an amazing 7 months of colour from spring to autumn every year - not many plants can do that! Well, now they have got even better. The breeders in Holland who created them have developed an improved series with much bigger flowers, and even longer lasting performance. called the 'Sweet Series', we are delighted to be able to bring you some of the limited stock. Retaining the same benefits of being winter hardy to around -8°C (although avoid severe winter wet), and flowering for 3 seasons of colour, their highly distinctive flowers simply keep coming - up to 50 on a 2-year-old plant. We love them in traditional terracotta pots, in the sun, or grown in well-drained borders at the front, where they will amaze you with their persistence of flowering and sheer flower number. In winter they are herbaceous, so die back completely underground, to emerge bigger and better next year. In this collection you will receive: 2 x 'Sweet Glow' - Deep orange daisy like booms. 2 x 'Sweet Smile' - Tall stems with gorgeous warm honey yellow flowers. 2 x 'Sweet Spice' - Strikingly bright magenta purple blooms. Supplied as 6 established plants in 7cm pots, ready to plant out.

Gerbera Garvinea Majestic
  • £9.99

Gerberas are incredibly popular flowers and understandably common in bouquets. Perfectly formed blooms on long, straight stems in wonderfully bright colours, they're now available as herbaceous perennials. The Garvinea series are the world's first hardy Gerberas and Garvinea 'Majestic' has been bred to produce spectacular double flowers in three gorgeous colours, each one 9cm (3½in) across. You can now enjoy these amazing flowers in your own garden from May to October each year, an incredibly long flowering season that guarantees you a continuous supply of beautiful cut flowers! These Gerbers love to grow in full sun or partial shade and are hardy down to -8°C, so they'll get through a British winter, dying back underground before returning bigger, better and with even more flowers the following spring, and their immaculate looking flowers are incredibly prolific. Happy in flower borders and they look particularly good planted in groups in large pots. Supplied as 3 established plants in 7cm pots, ready to plant, reaching a height of 40cm (16in) and spread of 30cm (1ft), including: Garvinea 'Majestic Yellow' - bright lemon yellow with a hint of gold at the centre. White Grape Vine Bonsai
  • £12.99

A truly unique and productive plant, this bonsai grape will produce bunches of white grapes year after year in virtually no space at all! These grapes originate in Sicily, where the old plants were dug up from the commercial fields and potted up - so they feature marvellous thick stems already and have a history of productivity! Naturally, grape vines are vigorous climbers but when trained into a bonsai form, the Vitis vinifera makes a much more compact shrub with a thick, heavily patterned trunk, with bunches of grapes hanging in decorative clusters. Grape vines are easy to care for and grow, needing just regular watering and feeding and a sunny position. Best grown outside spring to autumn, before being moved into a cooler room over the winter. Plants are self-fertile, and the grapes are ready to be picked when ripe in late summer to early autumn - the grapes are not affected in any way by the size of the tree. To maintain its shape, the grape bonsai should be pruned in early winter with a sharp pair of snips. Supplied as an established white grape plant in a 15cm pot, plants will grow as tall as you let them, but we recommend keeping it to a maximum 1.4m. Cut back annually to the woody stem to keep your Bonsai at 1m max to allow for new growth the following year.

Turtle Vine
  • £19.99

The Turtle Vine is a cute little trailing vine adorned with small round ‘turtle’ like leaves running along the length. Not to be confused with the similarly named “String of turtles” or Peperomia Prostrata, this vine is a cascading low-growing plant and has a lot more foliage which is densely packed. It grows quickly and is fairly hardy, needing monitoring when it comes to their water level. Light and Water Bright indirect light is best, avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun, especially in the summer. Always maintain evenly moist soil and average room humidity is acceptable. If you see any signs of dehydration, introduce more humidity with regular misting or a water tray. The Turtle vine loves moist soil - once the pot begins to feel light when lifted, it's time for another water. Under-watering symptoms include crispy/curling leaves, a grey, washed-out appearance, yellowing leaves and a lack of new growth. These issues are commonly down to either too much heat/light forgetfulness. Dehydration is the number one issue among growers, so always keep an eye out for drying soil. Over-watering symptoms, on the other hand, include yellowing lower leaves, little to no growth and a rotting stem or leaves. Never allow your plat to endure long periods of soggy soil or a dark location as both will significantly increase the chance of over-watering and death.
