Sarcococca hookeriana var. digyna is a winter flowering shrub that is very shade tolerant. Sweet Box, also known as Christmas Box, has exotic looking flowers in the coldest months, that are highly fragrant, which are followed by shiny black berries. The evergreen leaves are shiny and leathery and contrast well with the stems that have a red tinge.
