With all of its attributes - not least its fabulous taste - Santonio produces similarly thick-skinned, glossy red 'cherry plum' fruits of about 8g (1/3oz) in weight. The exceptional taste has a good acidic 'bite' and a delicious lingering sweetness. Best grown in the greenhouse or in a sunny spot in the garden where it will require support and side shooting.
