A most attractive variety that makes a large, upright, rounded shrub with maturity. The basal branches are carried low to the ground, with a handsome spreading habit. In early spring, the bare stems are decorated with dazzling white flowers which are flushed with mauve-pink at the base.

Clematis 'General Sikorski' was named by its Polish breeder after the famous General and Prime Minister of Poland in exile, during WWII, who was killed in an RAF plane crash, after taking off from Gibraltar in 1943.
