'Polka' is simpy the best garden grown raspberry you can get. That's a bold claim, but it combines quick first year fruiting being a primocane variety, with exceptional large fruit sizes and big big yields well into the Autumn. Primocane raspberries are the big gardeners' breakthrough - they produce fruit on NEW stems, so you get fruit in the same year as you plant them, rather than wait a year for old-fashioned types. This is a fabulous new colour addition to the amazing Bottlebrush family. No prizes for guessing where they get their name from - their classic spring flowers zing with intense colour. Usually red, this is the first widely available pink, and what a neon-pink it is too! Each flower is made up of thousands of thin stamens, each pollen rich, so become a mecca for bees and butterflies early in the season. Flowering in spring and early summer, it is great to attract early season pollinators to fruit - and sometimes has a mini flush of flowers again in autumn. Grow in a pot in a warm and sunny spot, in a well-drained mix. A half-hardy shrub, give winter protection in colder, windier spots, as early leaves and growth can be damaged.

The massive berries that arise from this stunning new variety could be the largest strawberries ever and unlike some other 'king sized ' fruits they are simply bursting with flavour too. We are still completely blown away by this, when we stumbled across this new concept of fruiting Cherry trees one drizzly winter's day in Northern Holland in 2016. It is revolutionising commercial Cherry cropping. This is simply a completely new way to grow cherries, one which were it not for the persistence of an enthusiastic breeder may never have seen the light of day. It is simply the first bush cherry, as opposed to a tree, so forms a nice neat clump of many fruiting branches right from the base - and as a result does not get too tall, and makes picking really easy - as well as netting from pesky birds.
